YouTube star Jimmy “MrBeast” Donaldson has been streaming some live high-stakes poker action with the holecards shown for the viewers.

The American’s MrBeast channel has 69.2 million subscribers and is the 11th most-subscribed channel on YouTube. His videos are usually centred around expensive stunts.

Not previously known as a keen poker player, Donaldson has recently been featured playing high-stakes poker against quite a few different characters.

For starters, he walked away from the table $25,000 up against fellow YouTube producer, Ludwig Ahgren. His rival has almost two million subscribers himself and the pair grinded for a few hours before Donaldson ended up the winner.

There was also a match again Twitch streamer moistcr1tikal where Donaldson ended up down after a $100,000 battle.

Even as a complete novice at the game, Donaldson is clearly aiming high already. Last month he took part in an episode of Poker after Dark that included Phil Hellmuth, Doyle Brunson, Senator Ted Cruz, and chess streamer/poker fan Alexandra Botez. The show hasn’t aired yet so we don’t have any idea about how he got on.

In the weeks following the filming, Hellmuth posted clips of himself playing Donaldson in both the Aria Casino and at his home.

We look forward to seeing where MrBeast pops up again. The World Series of Poker starts next week in Las Vegas: will he be ready for the main event?
