ShareACR Poker has announced the launch of Big Poker Thursdays, a new lineup of tournaments with increased guarantees starting on October 12. The leading US-facing site decided to introduce this new schedule in response to players who find it difficult to participate in tournaments on Sundays due to family commitments and other activities.
Huge Guaranteed Prize Pools
The new Thursday schedule features larger guaranteed prize pools on 22 tournaments, with total guarantees increasing from $690,000 to $1,140,000— a massive $450,000 increase.
Big Poker Thursday buy-ins start at just $0.11 and go all the way up to $1,050, making it appealing to players with all sizes of bankrolls.
ACR Team Pro Chris Moneymaker stated that although Sunday remains ACR Poker's biggest day of the week, Thursdays are now giving it a serious run for its money, with many players likely choosing to grind hard on both days.
"Some of our players have expressed that Sundays are inconvenient for them due to family commitments and other activities. That's why we've developed a new Thursday lineup with a big increase in guarantees, so players no longer have to wait for the weekend for huge action."
