If you were ever worried about what happens to your bankroll if the unthinkable happens and you shrug off this mortal coil unexpectedly, then Americas CardRoom has the answer ā€“ introducing a ā€œgeniusā€ new feature known as Bankroll Beneficiaries...

The Winning Poker Network (WPN), of which ACR is by far the biggest skin, this week discussed the awkward topic of dying (or otherwise becoming physically incapacitated) with money in your account.

The US-facing site explained their plan in a blog post: ā€œIn the event that anything happens to one of our community members, we want to make sure that their money is returned to their loved ones.ā€

Of course, leaving an ordinary will is just good common sense, but itā€™s unlikely to include your poker bankroll and login details. Thatā€™s why ACR has developed software that allows you to set who gets your money and how much they get, with a simple account inactivity setting.

The new feature will be displayed within the ā€˜Settingsā€™ section of the poker client and gives you full control of what happens to your balance.

You set the duration for inactivity to kick in (for example, 6 months without playing) and ACR will contact you 30 days prior to the date. If they get no response within that 30 day period, then your funds get transferred to your named beneficiaries...simple!

Randy 'nanonoko' Lew, the legendary online pro who is now ACRā€™s Security Consultant and Gameplay Expert, put together a short video to explain how it all works.

You can check out the new Bankroll Beneficiaries feature and everything else that ACR have to offer right here.
