The team behind the Irish Poker Tour is ready to launch its latest project this coming July. From July 18 to 23, the €1,000,000 GTD Bratislava Poker Festival is set to attract some of the biggest names of the game to one of the most interesting capital cities in Europe.
The venue is Bratislava’s Card Casino, situated only 1 minute drive from the airport, making it the perfect location to be able to fly in for a one-off event. This popular casino is said to be one of Europe’s rising stars in the industry.
The action will kick off with the Mystery Bounty tournament that has a €50,000 guarantee. This is followed up by a €400 buy-in event and a smaller one of only €150.
The festival’s main tournament—the €550 €500K GTD Grand Prix—gets going on July 19 with six Day 1 starting flights.
Then it is all topped off with the €3,000 €200K GTD High Roller event.
SatellitesAs is usual today, there will be a wide selection of satellite events to qualify for the series with a reduced investment. Online qualifiers are already running on partypoker and Optibet.lv for players located in Latvia from as little as $0.01.
Fintan Gavin, CEO of the Irish Poker Tour, sounded excited about bringing some of his recipe for live poker festival success to the heart of Europe, and predicted that a strong Irish contingent will fly out to Slovakia to support the new series.
“We’re ready to bring the magic of Irish Poker to the heart of Europe. We know what players want and we’re ready to give it to them.”
