We will have another great round of Premier League football in a few days. The English top tier never disappoints, and we're in for more excitement than ever in Week 13. Continue reading if you want to see our picks and predictions for the next round of the PL coming to us on Friday, 29th of November.
Brighton vs. Southampton
Week 13 of the PL opens down south in Brighton and Hove, where Albion is hosting Southampton. The derby match of the south is only that in a geographical sense, as teams do not share a true rivalry in the sense of that word. Brighton is a clear favorite here, as the table suggests, and despite Southampton's brave outing vs. Liverpool, they will record another loss here. Play Brighton to win and over 2.5 goals.
Brentford vs. Leicester
There will be no new manager in London, as Leicester still needs to appoint a new one. These are the type of games Brentford relishes, and winning them is a specialty for Thomas Frank. In no scenario can a disrupted team such as Leicester beat a solid Brentford team that has been finding ways to win challenging games lately. Bet on a home win by Brentford, spiced with both team's scoring bet.
Crystal Palace vs. Newcastle
A brutal duel in the making, as the northern Magpies love to play closed-out, counter-attacking football when away. Palace is still looking for its footing this season, and Oliver Glasner will be looking to prove that he was not a one-season wonder. Yet, we can only see this game as a dull draw.
Nottingham Forest vs. Ipswich
At the moment, Nottingham is living a fairytale. They're close to the top of the table, and week in and week out, they're talking about European football. While that might be a reality, we believe it's a long season ahead, and dreams shatter faster than they're dreamed of. On the other hand, we have Ipswich scrapping for survival, but how this team performs sometimes makes us wonder if they will be in a relegation battle at the end of the season. Play for a double combo of a tie or a guest win, with both teams scoring.
Wolves vs. Bournemouth
Bournemouth is playing high-temp, fast-passing, and beautiful football. Andoni Iraola is putting his name out there in the conversation for the coach of the year award and for all the good reasons. He can help the Cherries finish at the top end of the table and even Europe. Wolves could be playing better, and it's only a matter of time before their season collapses. It starts with this match and a safe Bournemouth win.
West Ham vs. Arsenal
If you visit online forums such as Reddit, then you know that fans of The Hammers believe that Julen Lopetegui's days in London are numbered. West Ham is not playing up to standards and the amount of money they've spent in the summer. Playing against city rivals Arsenal couldn't come at a worse moment for the Spanish coach. His compatriot Mikel Arteta will not do him any favors now that City is collapsing, as Arsenal will be looking to make a run for the title. Arsenal win all the way.
Chelsea vs. Aston Villa
One of the many derbies of the Week 13 of PL. Chelsea is looking to get back to the top four of English football, while Aston Villa is trying to remain there after a high placement last season. This is the match Chelsea needs to win if they want the old days of glory to come back. They're not yet there, and Unai Emery will take this one over Enzo Maresca.
Manchester United vs. Everton
Ruben Amorim is the new head coach of Man UTD. This match is his home debut and a chance to make a statement. Amorim has enough coaching talent and quality in his squad to make that statement against the Sean Dyche men. Nothing but a home win comes into question.
Tottenham vs. Fulham
Another London derby is on our hands, and we will have to tip on the home side this time. Tottenham is due to deliver another good performance after beating Man City. Trashing the reigning champions away needs to be spiced by doing the same to city rivals Fulham. We also expect a rain of goals here, so pair the home win with over 2.5 goals.
Liverpool vs. Manchester City
The biggest derby match of the round. To quote Erik Ten Hag: Eras have come to an end. He was right, as it would appear the era of Pep Guardiola and Man City has ended, at least for this season. Liverpool can do the funny thing and put the last nail in their 2024/25 coffin. We hope for this outcome, so a friendly bet is on an in-form Liverpool home win.
