In the coming months, BetOnline and TigerGaming are set to move away from handling payments in Bitcoin (BTC), switching over to Tether (USDT).

Affiliate payments are expected to change first, helping to avoid the volatility of BTC until their account is paid out.

Platform users can then expect the possibility of reduced cryptocurrency options for deposits and withdrawals to come soon after, following in the footsteps of other platforms by heading towards USDT ERC20 as standard.

Currently, users still have access to a wide range of crypto options but some might not be available without warning.

  • Tether (USDT) is pegged to the US Dollar 1 to 1, often referred to as a stablecoin
  • Tether (USDT) is the largest and one of the most reliable stablecoins on the market
  • BTC is highly-volatile on a day-to-day basis, market value can fluctuate at any moment
