Poker players the world over are already making plans for the 2023 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas as the initial dates of next year's schedule have been announced.

The 2023 WSOP will take place from May 30 - July 18, 2023 at Paris Las Vegas on the Strip and also the soon-to-be Horseshoe. It will be the 54th annual running of poker's most prestigious festival and follows a mega successful 2022 in the post-Covid era.

“The historic debut of the WSOP on the Las Vegas Strip delivered in a big way, and we’re excited to announce our Summer 2023 dates,” stated WSOP Senior Vice President and Executive Director Ty Stewart. “Poker players and fans can now officially mark their calendars .... for another exciting chapter in the tournament’s history.”

The crown jewel of the festival - the $10,000 buy-in Main Event - kicks off on July 3 and features four starting flights, one each on July 3-6. Last year's Main Event was the second largest ever, attracting 8,663 entrants and a massive prize pool of $80,782,475.

The entire 2022 WSOP saw 197,626 entrants from more than 100 countries pony up the tournaments' respective buy-ins to produce a record-breaking $347.9 million total prize pool. It's anticipated that those totals will be eclipsed in 2023.

"You can already feel the anticipation building at our resorts,” said Jason Gregorec, SVP and General Manager of Paris and Horseshoe Las Vegas. “We can’t wait to see the first WSOP Main Event champion crowned at the new Horseshoe Las Vegas.”

While the full schedule will be released next year, the WSOP did provide the dates of some notable tournaments. Take a look at the list below:
