The Triton Super High Roller Series has been rolling on in Monte Carlo with huge prizes being won day after day.
The last few days have seen Webster Lim, Jonathan Jaffe, and Danny Tang winning titles, although the massive prizes they’ve collected probably aren’t life-changing to these guys.
Webster Lim Clinches Third Triton Title
Webster Lim has clinched his third Triton Super High Roller title after sweeping aside his rivals in the GGPoker Million$ event. The Malaysian star scooped $899,893, much to the delight of his friends who were loudly supporting him on the rail.
Lim also won this event earlier this year in Vietnam and now has a career live earnings total of $13,774,651.
Ren Lin was the man who looked like he was in control for much of the final table, but as we all know, things are never that simple in poker.
After turning a straight against Lim’s top and bottom pair, the American was outdrawn to lose to a full house, crippling his stack.
That set up an all Malaysian heads-up battle with Hing Yang Chow which was fantastic to watch.
Lim played some of the most impressive poker we’ve ever seen on stream. Confidently aggressive when he needed to be and always looking like this is what he was born to do; a great performance.

Danny Tang Wins Event #9 – $50,000 NL Hold’em – 8 Handed
Danny Tang has won Event #9 – $50,000 NL Hold’em – 8 Handed after defeating Ike Haxton to take down his 14th Triton cash in 2023.
The man from Hong Kong has now won an incredible five Triton Super High Roller Series titles this year, after breaking his duck in Vietnam back in March.
Ike Haxton has been the man to beat on the high roller live scene this year, banking an outrageous $10 million+ so far. Beating the man who most say is the best not to hold a Triton title was never going to be easy.
Fortunately for Tang, he went into the heads-up battle with a 2-1 chip lead over Haxton, making his task somewhat simpler than it could have been.
Haxton did his best but never came close to mounting a challenge. The cards just seemed to fall Tang’s way and before long the $1,580,000 winner's prize was his.
After his win, Tang spoke dearly of his late friend and mentor Ivan Leow, saying he still felt his presence.
“I feel like he’s looking after all of us, not just me. I’m just the lucky one.”
Tang also paid tribute to Ike Haxton, saying “I beat the great Ike!”, before talking through some of the pivotal hands that propelled him to victory.
