Vladas Tamasaukas has won Event #1 at the Poker Masters for a $239,400 payday. The Lithuanian bested his 113 rivals to stun the high stakes community who were left astounded and asking who on earth is this guy.
But he wasn’t done, because only three days later he had done it again after winning another $10,000 NL after racking up sixth place in Event #2.
Tamasaukas is more usually found on the mid-stakes tournament tables but decided to test the waters against top-level opposition this year. Speaking to PokerNews he said:
"I mostly focused on Main Event kind of tournaments, not smaller field high rollers ones. would play more bigger fields and smaller buy-ins. But this year I wanted to play higher. And I had a decent score in Barcelona, and after that it was easier to come here and play in these ones as well."

Darren Elias Wins Second Poker Masters Title
Darren Elias has won his second PokerGO title in Event #2 of the Poker Masters. The American topped a field of 97 entries to bank the first-place prize of $223,100.
The pressure by the final stages of the event must have been considerable given some of the names that were still hanging in there. Erik Seidel and Alex Foxen were two elite players that Elias needed to beat to claim his prize.
