Austria’s Samuel Mullur has won the WSOP Paradise $25,000 GGMillion$ High Rollers Championship for $2,726,300.
He defeated a field of 533 entries to take home the lion’s share of a monstrous $13,325,000 prize pool.
This is a fantastic result for an up-and-coming player who previously only had around $100,000 on his live tournament career record.
Now he has his first bracelet and a bankroll that gives him all kinds of opportunities for the future.
Speaking to PokerNews for his winner’s interview, Mullur said:
"I had a couple interesting hands… two or three hands where I'm still unsure if I made the best play. But other than that I'm really happy with how I performed.
"I'm working with Fedor, I'm working with a couple other guys… and I'm just very happy to be a part of their team. I feel like I'm working with the best in the world and it makes me so happy to be where I'm at.
“Also the support of family and my brother was railing like crazy… shout out to all of them.”
This field was stacked with top-tier talent. Names such as Justin Bonomo, Daniel Negreanu, Sam Greenwood, and Fedor Holz. Even Jason Mercier was making a rare appearance these days.
The final table saw Damian Salas — 2020 WSOP Main Event champion —and Adrian Mateos making a charge for victory but the young Austrian also saw them off in style.
The future looks bright for Samuel Mullur. With a bankroll like that and working with the likes of Fedor Holz we could be seeing more of this young man very soon.
