Phil Galfond is taking on Eshaan “Brownballa” Bhalla in a NL hold’em heads-up battle this Sunday. The PLO wizard will be getting back into action on Poker Night in America at stakes of $100/$200.
There’s tons of action going on in the poker world right now, so much we don’t know where to turn next.
The WPT World Championship series has already kicked off alongside the highly-anticipated WSOP Paradise in the Bahamas. And then there is EPT Prague, too. Definitely one of the series’ most popular venues.
But not everyone is into tournaments. And so the Poker Night in America crew have decided to give us some high-stakes cash.
Phil Galfond has treated us to some fantastic battles in his Galfond challenge matches over the last couple of years; winning every single one.
As far as we know, the offer is still open for anybody to step up to the plate to take on the PLO great at his own game
But this is not PLO. This is NL hold’em — Brownballa’s domain.
Brownballa has made something of a name for himself recently. Appearances on Hustler Casino Live, Beg Bet Poker, and Live at the Bike have made him one of the more recognisable faces in the scene.
He also came to prominence as coach to Nik Airball during his heads-up grudge match against Matt Berkey
So what to expect on Sunday? The truth is we have no idea. Although NL hold’em isn’t Phil Galfond’s game of choice, we can be sure that he is still a feared opponent.
His experience at taking on the best in the world should stand him in good stead, making this a show that should definitely not be missed.
