Jason Koon has become a ten-time Triton champion after winning the $25k PLO Turbo event in Monte Carlo. The American has bagged six events at the Triton Super High roller Series this year alone and is significantly the most successful player in the series.

The event attracted 50 entries for a prize pool of $1,250,000. Not the biggest we see at a Triton series but still heavy enough up top.

Once the bubble had broken, Koon was still some way back from the leader but this is PLO where things happen quickly.

Eight-handed with 10-15 big blinds certainty did provide fast action and the final table began to dissolve at a rapid pace.

A few quick bustouts marked the start of Koon’s charge to the front, and before long Sam Greenwood was heading out in fourth place, quickly followed to the rail by Joao Vieira.

Finland’s Eelis Parssinen was the last man between Jason Koon and another record-breaking Triton title but even he couldn’t stop the irresistible force. Stacks were extremely short and the first time the chips went in during heads-up saw Koon crowned champion.

Jason Koon's Triton titles:

Daniel Dvoress Claims Second Triton Title

Daniel Dvoress has won his second Triton title after taking down Event #12 – $50,000 PLO. The Canadian broke his duck earlier in the year in Cyprus and has now added almost $1 million to his career record after snatching this win in a tough field.

The tournament attracted only 72 entries, but boy was it strong. Danny Tang has been sensational during the Monte Carlo series and was vying to become the first player to win titles in NL hold’em, short deck and PLO, but he couldn’t stop Dvoress.

At one point, Tang held a considerable advantage during the heads-up battle but Dvoress battened down the hatches and ground his opponent down until his will to resist was no more.

Dvoress has now won more than $10 million from Triton cashes after his $956,000 prize for this win.
