Jake Daniels went on a knockout spree, busting every other player at the final table to take down event 3 of the PokerGO Cup and pocket $200,000...
It was the final $10k event of the 8-event highroller series at the PokerGO studio in Las Vegas’ Aria Resort and Casino, which will culminate in a massive $100k buy-in final event.
A total of 80 entries from 52 unique players meant the exact same $800k prizepoool on offer as event 2, won by Sean Perry, with $200k up top for first place.
A “who’s who” of highstakes tournament poker assembled, with Bryn Kenney, Chris Brewer, Ali Imsirovic, Stephen Chidwick, Alex Foxen and Daniel Negreanu just some of the well-known names that didn’t make the paid spots.
The money bubble is always an important part of a tournament, and this time round it was Barry Hutter who missed out...

Wang put the pressure on with a shove on the flop, and got lucky...

...meaning the remaining dozen players had sewn up a min cash of $16k. Wang himself bubbled the final table of six, day one ending with Daniel Weinand heading the chip counts and Chris Moorman in the mix on his PokerGO debut

What happened next could rightly be termed the Jake Daniels show, as the Texan native proceeded to demolish the final table. He started by sending Brock Wilson to the rail with kings against sixes, and then a double hammerblow descended...
Daniels: A♠K♣
Moorman: A♥ Qâ™
Winter: A♣ 5♦

That saw Moorman and Winter both out, and Daniels’ rampage continued when he sent Weinand tumbling out in 3rd, the very short-stacked Jeremy Ausmus recipient of a $48k payjump.
Just like Perry’s victory the previous day, there seemed to be no denying Daniels, the final hand showing that when it’s your day nothing will stop you...
