The Irish Poker Open has kicked off in Dublin at the Royal Dublin Society, located in the heart of the city. The event is one of the most eagerly anticipated on the live poker circuit and we expect to see some big names making the trip to the Emerald Isle.
This is the longest running NL hold’em event outside of Las Vegas with a history stretching back 42 years. The action is running from April 3-10 with the €1,150 buy-in, €1,000,000 GTD Main Event starting today.
Buy-ins range from €150 to €5,000 with something suitable for players of all abilities and bankrolls.
High stakes crusher Steve O’Dwyer made the trip and quickly claimed his “lucky” chair as the reigning champion.
