England’s Conor Beresford ended his Super High Roller hoodoo by scooping the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure $50k 7-handed title for $436,812, his first cash, let alone win, in more than 20 attempts at the nosebleed $25k+ buy-in level!

There were 29 entries to the tournament, with England’s Ben Heath responsible for two bullets after bubbling the money in the $100k SHR won by Ike Haxton a couple of days previously.

Stephen Chidwick, Cary Katz and Timothy Adams were among the early casualties as the players chased five paid spots, but Adams was another to fire off another $50k in the hope of a share of the $1,412,532 prizepool.

Heath took out Chidwick and Holz, while Beresford took care of recent back-to-back SHR winner Ike Haxton, and then the money bubble burst...

Winter: K♦ Q♦
Heath: A♦ Q♣

Board: 9♥ 8♠ 5♥ 4♣ J♦

That meant almost $135k tied up for the remaining quintet, with Juan Pardo having to settle for the min cash as he ran his pocket 8s into Dan Smith’s rockets.

A similar cooler saw Canada’s Timothy Adams depart in 5th for $165,950 when his 9s couldn’t improve against Heath’s queens, while conversely Dan Smith’s queens couldn’t hold against Heath’s middling ace.

That left the English duo Heath and Beresford to fight it out for top dog but they decided first on an ICM chop, Heath edging the cash but Beresford lifting the trophy after a couple of flips went his way.
