Arguably poker's most famous accused cheater, Robbi Jade Lew, has announced her return to live-stream cash game action and has dared Garrett Adelstein to compete against her.
Lew has chosen Valentine's Day, February 14, to mark her celebratory return. The locale will be Live at the Bike and stakes are set at $100/$200/$200.
Lew, as the poker world and many non-poker players know, was accused of cheating by Adelstein on September 29, 2022 during live-streamed high stakes action at Hustler Casino Live. An investigation cleared Lew of any wrongdoing, although some players and followers of the incident continue to believe that nefarious doings were afoot.
Since that controversial J4 offsuit hand, Lew has taken full advantage of her newfound popularity and has become quite the polarizing figure. Hence the reason for her return on Hearts Day, a nod to her legion of lovers - and haters.
Speaking of polarizing figures, Phil Hellmuth will be joining Lew for her return. The Poker Brat has promised to buy-in for $300,000 after receiving considerable condemnation from fellow players for short stacking during a previous LATB appearance last August.
Lew has played in some poker tournaments following the controversial hand with Adelstein in which she returned $135K to him despite winning the hand. She came in 49th place in the $10,400 buy-in WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic for $22,400 and had a min-cash in a PCA Deep Stack event.
As for Adelstein, he has yet to return to poker, but has indicated a desire to play at HCL Live for a Million Dollar Buy-in Game scheduled for May. The cash game pro tweeted that he "might be down if there's a seat."
Lew, and thousands of other poker players and fans, would like to see Garrett return even before the $1 million game. Robbi dared him to do just that, as seen in the tweet below:
