SharePokerNews has put together a brief breakdown of how much it would cost to play in every single World Series of Poker event in 2022. It’s a bit of a theoretical exercise because as we all know, it’s not possible to do with overlap between many tournaments, but even so, it’s still interesting to check out what kind of eye-watering figure it would take.
88 WSOP Events
The schedule has 88 tournaments with buy-ins ranging from $400 for the much-loved Colossus all the way up to the crazy $250,000 Super High Roller. That’s quite a range.In the middle are 22 of the staple $1,500 events alongside another 12 costing less than $1,000 to play.
Then there are the 13 Championship events to consider. These $10,000 buy-in tournaments include the main event and generally attract many of poker’s biggest stars if you’re wanting the chance to sit next to the likes of Phil Hellmuth.
Ten more events are priced at $25,000 and more. These are obviously much more exclusive and populated by the game’s very best talent.
But let’s not forget about the re-buy events. Over the past few years, these have become much more popular online and they now constitute 53 event on the WSOP schedule.
The breakdown is 29 tournaments allowing only a single re-buy, 14 tournaments with two re-buys and the other 10 allowing for more than two. Four events allow unlimited re-buys.

So, to buy into each and every event on the WSOP schedule, you are going to have to squirrel away a whopping $981,767!But, of course, this doesn’t include you taking advantage of all the re-buys. To make it realistic, PokerNews factored in maximum re-buys with three for the unlimited re-buy events and five for the Flip & Go tournament.
To play a schedule like this will cost you not a cent less than $1,849,801. Not exactly in the price range of most players, to say the least!
