Phil Hellmuth’s World Series of Poker has got off to the worst start possible with a bout of “stomach trouble” leaving him no choice but to take some time off from his schedule.
A weekend in Mexico left him complaining of "travelers diarrhea" and unable to take his seat in Event #2: $100,000 High Roller Bounty.
I’m skipping @WSOP Event #2 today. I have "travelers diarrhea" from weekend in Mexico. I'm tired, my stomach hurts, and I’m going easy on eating food.— phil_hellmuth (@phil_hellmuth) May 31, 2022
My first @StakeKings package is now for $50,000 (selling $30K at 1.3) including:
Event 6 $25,000 Heads Up
Event 8 $25,000 NLH
Hopefully Hellmuth’s absence won’t be a long one and we’ll get to see him back to his best challenging for a record 17th WSOP bracelet.
Fans of the “Poker Brat” can grab a pice of his action on StakeKings where $30,000 is up for sale at 1.3 markup. You can also check out the latest issue of Cigar Aficionado and read the Special Issue Gambling Guide featuring Phil Hellmuth.
