ShareA recent poll introduced on Twitter by Allen Kessler brought to light an issue that Phil Hellmuth cares very deeply about - whether or not the Poker Brat is better at No Limit Hold'em than Phil Ivey.
Kessler was apparently watching past episodes of "Poker After Dark" and included a video clip from the program as an accompaniment to his poll. The clip features an exchange between Hellmuth and Daniel Negreanu in which the Poker Hall of Famers discuss the Poker Brat's NLHE skills compared to Ivey.
"I'm not better at Texas Hold'em than Phil Ivey?" Hellmuth asked.
Negreanu unequivocally tells the Poker Brat that he's not better than Ivey, and further states that Ivey would wipe the floor with Hellmuth in most every conceivable way.
"You're not better than Phil Ivey at literally, f***ing anything, except promoting yourself," DNegs informs Hellmuth. "That's it. That's all you got."
Those who voted in Chainsaw's poll overwhelmingly agree with Kid Poker. After 6,941 votes, the results show that 88.2% believe Ivey tops Hellmuth in No Limit Hold'em.

That clip came from an episode released 10 months ago in which Hellmuth spends quite a bit of time at the table explaining why he thinks he's the best NLHE player. Phil mentioned his many accomplishments in years past against top competition, yet complained about a lack of respect.
The Poker Brat accused Daniel and others of "moving the goalposts" with regard to the criteria used to determine the GOAT.
"I thought that the greatest player of all time is the one who was going to win the most bracelets," Poker Brat argued. "That's what I set out to do. I did that."
DNegs countered that today's best players can be found regularly playing high roller tournaments, which Phil has only dabbled in. The entire episode and discussion that likely prompted Kessler to post his Twitter poll can be found below. Hellmuth's diatribe commences at around 19:00.
