Americas CardRoom have hired legendary online poker phenom Randy 'Nanonoko' Lew as a Security Consultant and Gameplay Expert to provide a unique perspective on “suspected fraud, collusion and bot activity”…

It’s an ACR Christmas gift to itself it seems, the US-facing site stating that, “Lew’s duties here will include working with our security team on suspected fraud, collusion and bot activity.

“He will also review hand histories when the security team is forced to do an investigation and give us his expert opinion,” they state, adding a new level of security to a site that has recently invested money into site safety.

The news comes as ACR are gearing up for their $8 Million GTD Venom tournament, starting on January 22nd and promising the winner at least $1million, with four starting day 1s giving players plenty of options.

Nanonoko himself might not be playing the Venom as the Californian now lives in Australia, who don’t really allow online poker, but Americas CardRoom are hoping that their new signing will be able to join them when live poker kicks back in, hopefully in 2021.

“Fortunately, he will be on hand to meet and greet players at major live poker events, including our very own Cage Live in Costa Rica,” say the ACR crew, looking forward to a return after being postponed due to Covid-19.

Randy Nanonoko Lew rose to fame and fortune when he hit SuperNova Elite status four times, managing to grind as many as 24 online tables at once.

With sponsorship as a Hearthstone player and more than $4million in earnings between live and online poker, Lew is one of the most popular TwitchTV streamers out there, and last year he married equally popular Chinese poker pro Celina Lin.
