Holz is less-well-known for his cash game exploits, but with $32,556,377 in tournament cashes, the German-born, Austrian-resident player is no stranger to big numbers himself.
The highly-anticipated clash was a good excuse for other big-name pros to take sides, with Ike Haxton jokingly tweeting âI will take whoever the fuck Stefan is.â
Rui Cao was evidently no fan of Holzâs chances, asking: âWhat gives those mtt guys so much confidence? They couldnât compete with the best in cash games and are being so cocky...â
