Andrew ‘LuckyChewy’ Lichtenberger has co-founded and beta launched Octopi Poker with Nick Shculman and Victoria Livschitz. The innovative social platform aims to bring together all parts of poker learning under one umbrella to create the perfect environment to learn poker.

Traditional Poker Study Obsolete?

Octopi Poker plans to disrupt traditional poker training by offering a comprehensive and collaborative educational experience for poker enthusiasts unlike anything currently offered in the space.

So what’s on offer? In his launch statement, Lictenberger gave us some idea of what the service will look like when ready for full launch.

  • Database of Hand Histories: Integrated analysis and analytics. Ever-Expanding Library: Preflop ranges & post-flop sims.
  • Custom Solvers: Generate your own preflop ranges and post-flop sims, including heads up ICM post flop and multi-way chip EV configurations.
  • Innovative Tools: Study solver outputs with comparative range viewers, interactive exploration of the game tree, visual nodelocking, and more.
  • Powerful Trainer: Configurable drills and competitive leaderboards.
  • Social Sharing: Hands, sims, ranges, drills, group chats, and commentary + chat

Strategic Partnerships

The team has gone the extra mile already by securing some noteworthy strategic partnerships. PokerGO and Hold’em Resources Calculator have both committed to leveraging the new platform with the latter promising “back-end integration with advanced capabilities and solving technologies”.

PokerGO President Mori Eskandani said:

“Our partnership with Octopi redefines our content delivery, leveraging their cutting-edge platform and machine learning.

“This collaboration propels PokerGO's offerings forward, enhancing viewer experiences with advanced data displays that deepen engagement, empower players, and provide broadcasters with strategic insights. The future of poker content is here, and we're thrilled for the poker community to embrace Octopi's innovation."

It’s clear that no stone is being left unturned to create the perfect product. To ensure that happens, an advisory board of top players has been assembled.

“These esteemed advisors include: Stephen Chidwick, Nick Petrangelo, Chris Brewer, and Jeff Platt. They bring their expertise and talent, ensuring that OctopiPoker represents the best and brightest minds in the industry.”

As a taster for what might be possible with the integration of AI into a poker learning platform, check out the tweet below where the “Ask George” feature quickly compiles a test on ICM and gives accurate feedback on the answers.

Will poker forums ever be the same again? It’s unlikely once we have full confidence in the answers that we get back.

We look forward to seeing how this new generation of training sites starts off.
