ShareFedor Holz has just pocketed more than $2million in a 24-hour online spree, banking a WSOP gold bracelet and coming close to a WCOOP title as well – not a bad day’s work for a semi-retired poker player!
The German former wunderkind stunned the poker world back in 2016 when he went on a heater of $10million in 6 months, including a €1.3million EPT victory, a $650k WCOOP win and an SHRB runner-up spot worth $3.5million.
That propelled him to the top of the all-time German money winners list and top five in the world, but Holz soon announced an early retirement from full-time play aged just 24.
This week, though, he was back to his primetime best – starting off the month with a $255k scoop of a $10k WSOP side event on GGPoker, the site he is an ambassador for.
By that time he had already made it to the final 4 of the WSOP HeadsUp Championship, and when he took out Spain’s Sergei Reixach in the semis, and then Bruno Botteon in the final, he had just added $1,070,050 to his bank balance.
That, remarkably, was his 8th career 7-figure score and he was to add another $½ million score before the day was out.
Heads-up against another Spaniard, this time Adrian Mateos, the pair made a deal in the WCOOP $25k 8-Max SHR Sunday Slam, Holz taking $515,294 but having to settle for second.

All-in-all, quite a day let alone week for Herr Holz and the rest of the highstakes poker community will likely be hoping he soon heads back to the comfort of his retirement home!
