ShareA longtime poker-playing customer at Harrah's Resort Atlantic City hit a mega jackpot on a progressive poker table for a score of $1,681,458.
The lady became a millionaire on a mere $5 bet. Her big windfall happened just a few days before Christmas. She showed that Christmas truly is the season for giving by tipping the dealers $77,000.
"Most people give tips, but this was jaw-dropping," Harrah's Atlantic City Director of Table Games Michael Zippel told Fox Business. "Our dealers work hard all year long and truly deserve it."
Earlier this year at Tropicana Atlantic City, another New Jersey resident scored big on a progressive poker game with a $1.1 million jackpot. The man was also in a giving mood, tossing $50K of his winnings to the dealers.
New Jersey and Michigan Team Up
New Jersey is one of the top states for poker players, both in live action at casinos and online. PokerStars recently announced that its virtual player pools in New Jersey and Michigan will be combined come January, 2023.As a result, online players in the Garden State and Great Lakes State can expect more action and bigger prizes.
